Who we are
Blue Curve Build is a building company based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the controller of that information.
What information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive the details you provide — your name, email address, optional phone number, project postcode, project type, project description and, if given, an indicative budget and preferred timing.
We do not use advertising or analytics tools on this website, so we do not collect behavioural information about your visits.
How we use your information
We use enquiry details to respond to your enquiry, to discuss the work you have described and to decide how best to help. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in responding to prospective customers who contact us about building work.
We do not use enquiry details for marketing. We do not add enquirers to marketing lists, and we do not send promotional messages.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is stored in this website's secure database, which is operated for us by our website hosting provider. We do not sell your information or share it with other companies for their own purposes. We would only share it where necessary to respond to your enquiry, with professional advisers where appropriate, or where we are legally required to do so.
Your information is stored in the UK or the European Economic Area. If it ever needs to be transferred elsewhere, we would only do so with appropriate protections in place.
How long we keep your information
If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we retain your personal information for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact, unless there is a specific, justified reason to retain it longer.
If you become a customer, necessary information is transferred to your project record and kept under a separate retention schedule reflecting the purposes of those records and applicable legal obligations.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy of information you provided in a portable form. You can also withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our contact page. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
